"This is not a hotel in the usual sense. It is an unmanned group of rooms (8-10 ?) at the top of a long, steep, narrow staircase (18 steps) from street level. It is very central and convenient but there are no staff to let you in, help carry baggage up stairs or answer questions or attend to any needs. "Off season so the “hotel” was closed. We were staying in the “residency” in a 2 bedroom suite. Still, at $1200/night you think they’d try. Or close completely. They told us we needed an appointment to use the gym. We tried to make an appointment for two days by calling and emailing with no response. Housekeeping was knocking on our door every morning before 8:30. Everything closed. No room service. Fine, but can someone answer the phone? Staff did call us morning of checkout to...
