"The place is in a safe area where is easy to walk to there zócalo (center if the city) and the markets. The staff was friendly and helpful and helped us call a cab to take us to the airport. This a good place to sleep only as it is not a regular hotel; although there is help 24hrs. I would definitely stay here again."

"I liked the way the staff was very attentive and helpful. The room was very clean. The Zocalo and Mercado were just a few minutes away and the hotel had a shuttle that took you to the centro. I would definitely recommend it."

La ubicación es ideal, a solo unas cuadras del corazón del centro de Oaxaca, perfecta para salir caminando y disfrutar de todo lo que ofrece esta hermosa ciudad. Desde que llegamos, todo el personal nos recibió con mucha amabilidad y nos hizo sentir en familia. Quiero agradecer especialmente a Maricruz, la chef, por su cariño y atención. Siempre pendiente de nosotros y con una calidez que realmente nos hizo sentir como en casa. Y su comida… ¡deliciosa! Nos vamos con muy bonitos recuerdos y con ganas de regresar. Sin duda, Casa del Sótano será nuestro hotel en nuestra próxima visita."
