"It had an historical aura about it, Located on Kootenay Lake. Walking path behind hotel. Could also walk to SS Moyie.
The hotel’s restaurant has a wonderful indoor and outdoor patio ambiance, good food and attentive staff.

"I had a great stay. The building has a lot of history and the grounds are amazing. There is a swimming pool which is large enough to do laps. The staff are friendly and my room was exceptionally clean. "
"The Cloudside Hotel check-in process was a breeze, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean, and the bed was comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the back deck patio. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in town. "

"I would definitely consider returning to this hotel. The only thing I'd say is that the coffee provided in the room is not very good, but there are so many great coffee places in Nelson that it's an easy remedy. Bed, pillows and sheets were great. "
"The room is spacious and well appointed. I appreciate the roomy bathroom - a rarity in most hotels! The location is quiet and away from street noise. There’s a lovely walking path along the lakeside.

"Easy to find with dedicated parking across the street, I had a clean and spacious room, there is a lovely patio and it’s on the Main Street with lots of shops and heritage buildings. They offer breakfast at a reasonable rate in a beautiful restaurant. "
