Cozy, private, ranch cabin in the beautiful East Kootenay's

"It's a 5 star property and location, with a lot of unique things, and the owner seemed pleasant--but I nearly rated it a 3 as it isn't as described. The listing says there is 1 BR with 2 queen beds. The photos make it look like a bedroom, a living room, a dining area and kitchen with a bathroom. The bathroom is separate but the rest is a studio. There is no separate bedroom. The bed is right next to the couch. There is ONE bed and a hide-a-bed couch. The photos are misleading. We made it work but were disappointed."

"It's a basic Motel 6. Bed was comfortable, but we could not figure out how to use the TV (two remotes). Smaller room and parking was limited for a sold out night (had to create our own spot on the gravel)."

"Amazing hotel if you have kids. There’s a small arcade, outdoor green area with volleyball net, and pool with water slide. We got a room with two single beds in a room and a queen bed and pullout couch in the common area and it fit our family of 5 perfectly. The only recommendation I have is that the queen should be in the room with the door and single beds in common area next to pullout couch but that’s just my opinion. No free breakfast provided but there is a restaurant in the lobby,"

"First time at St. Eugene Resort and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The golf course is beautiful and well maintained. The proshop and restaurant staff are friendly and professional. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. The restaurant casino staff were great! Our room in the lodge building was nice and comfortable. A few suggestions for improvement would be more seating in the lobby area for guests to sit. At the grab n go, a variety of coffees would be nice. The pool area could use more loungers and need small tables. The door leading to the rooms from the lobby should have a handicap function as it's awkward for seniors getting luggage through. The casino menu could use a few different options. We are definitely looking forward to coming back again next year. Thank you!"
