"Great facility and we enjoyed our room. Clean and tidy. Restaurant had great options and was delicious! Able to sit in the sunroom or indoors. Also can take a drink outside by the water if it’s nice. Some short walking paths around the water that are close by. Other than the hotel restaurant we ate at the Laroch in Ballachulish. This is a great location if you want to take on some of the longer hikes in GlenCoe. We kayaked on the Loch and saw a seal around the islands. Beautiful scenery. "

"The Caledonian hotel was clean and simple but very pleasing. The room was average sized and comfortable. The location is wonderful right on the loch with a great view, walkways, and convenience to the outdoor activities around Fort William. The food at the hotel was also very good and there is a large dining room. Recommended!"

"Only stayed at the hotel for 1 night. Arrived around 8pm & left again around 7am the following morning. Didn’t stay for breakfast. All the staff I encountered were very friendly & helpful. Room was spotless & more than adequate for my stay. Lots of tea bags & milk so big plus for me. "

"Lovely setting. Good food both evening dinner and breakfast. Comfortable bed. Duvet could have been a bit bigger as it was 2 single geds pushed together it barely came to edge of bed. Nice new shower."

"Everything was excellent. Great bed. Wonderful breakfast. Staff is very caring. Our only wish would have been to have a few bar selections on hand (wine, ciders, a few types of beer). After a long day of hiking and driving, would've loved to sit out back with a sippable adult beverage. To be fair, we didn’t ask. Though peeking around didnt yield any options. Cannot recall if such an option was offered when we booked. If so, too far in advance to know what we wanted ir to realize nothing would be close at hand. But truly, 5 stars all around. Simply put: lovely, cozy, yummy, clean and quiet."

"We had a very short but lovely stay at the Shepherd’s Rest. Ilona and Gavin were accessible and very friendly and helpful, we especially loved the dogs who came to visit. The cottage was clean and comfortable and on a peaceful country setting. It’s a little tricky getting in and out having to go through the tunnel but it just added to the adventure! "
