"very good location in town & near train & bus station. Old building that they are trying to keep going. May get hot in summer (as no air con in bedrooms & windows don't open much) Our "standard room" was inward facing with horrible view of other hotel store rooms."

"Lovely welcome from the girl on reception. We had a king sized room on 3rd floor looking out to Cliffords tower. Room was clean and comfortable with a coffee maker which made amazing coffee. There is a large carpark across the road which is free midnight till 8 but expensive at orher times but on par with other parking in york. There is a park and ride stop close by. Breakfast was one of the best ive ever had in a hotel. All staff helpful and friendly. Close to shops and many restaurants. Ideal location "
