"Corte San Pietro is the most beautiful place to stay. The staff is like family, very friendly and welcoming with everyone. Even the owners are around to welcome you. The rooms are fabulous! I was lucky enough to stay in room 7 and it was located just up from the reception and the bed was a climb of steps up, but I slept so well. The breakfast is the best I’ve seen following 3 weeks in Italy. I was greeted by the most lovely woman with all kinds of fruits, cakes, toasts with tomatoes, water, orange juice and she got me cappuccino anytime I asked. Oh and did I mention the piano player? It was in a sassi and I only missed my boyfriend, as I was solo traveling here. Centrally located and I found some great spots close by for cocktails and dinner. I’ll definitely return one day with someone special. And there is a fabulous spa advertising in the room!! OMG- just do it. "

Amazing Room & staff especially Mario , fantastic personality, helpful , who greeted us at the top of the stairs where the taxi dropped us off & carried our luggage down 80 steps to our room. Breakfast offered was so good with fresh bakery goods and yummy cappuccino. Come to this hotel, it is next door to the sextantio where our friends stayed and struggled with lighting in their rooms. Say hi to Mario!"

"Very comfortable modern hotel in great location close to all the attractions. I had a message from reception the week before explaining me all the details and parking options. Really appreciate it as Matera is pedestrian city. The room was very comfortable and spacious. We has a standard , but there were enough place for everything. Hotel has only 17 rooms , so it very quiet and personal. Great selection with local producers or cheese and yogurts on the breakfast. It was delicious! Thank you for our lovely stay ! We would like to come back. "
