We had the odd luxury of staying in every room due to an unexpected extension in Potenza and the warmth and kindness of the owners and the community surrounding them during our stay here exceeded any expectation. "in 44 years of traveling around the world this was the worse and demeaning Hotel experience ever had( payment was made in advance BTW )! i cannot say anything about the accommodations because i never made it in!!! After an exhausting and temultuous trip to Potenza , my only concern was checking in , resting down my heavy luggage and preparing etc etc! however when i approached the door and tried to enter , there was no response or answer, i also tried to call a dozen times to no response! So after TWO AND A HALF HOURS ( see the photo below) of waiting for a response in the sweltering Heat, i had to rebook another accommodation on the spot because i could no longer endure the heat and exhaustion! i also contacted expedia about the matter and they refused to help me in making any concessions or correcting this horrendous situation, i also provided expedia with the information that when i attempted to get further info to reach the B&B that expedia sent a message saying that my room was no longer available ( see photo below)! if i could give - 5 stars i would , shame on the hotel and expedia for not returning the funds for a room that i could not access which resulted in me having to pay again for a whole other stay! NEVER AGAIN!"

"This is an amazing family owned and family run hotel…we met the whole family and they are amazing! Great hotel…beautiful grounds…great pool…and amazing restaurant/food…find an excuse to go to Potenza so you can stay there!"

"This hotel was booked mainly on price but after booking in, we decided to stay for the week. Potenza is a lovely little town with all kinds of bars and restaurants where you will meet interesting, friendly people. I would post photos but they say they are too big. Get with the program hotes.com The hotel is close to everything you need without having to walk for more than a few minutes and has few tourists. Great museum, which Vittorio allowed us to visit while it was supposedly closed, great pizza bars and the most amazing tiny local restaurant, Da Vincento, look it up, I am not going to give away all my secrets. Anyway, if you want to escape the heat, head for this delightful mountain town. Highly recommended."
