Apex City of Bath Hotel

"The hotel location is fantastic within the city and to be able to use the pool, sauna and steam room was a massive selling point for us! I will add, the gym is very small. They have 3 treadmills, x trainer and a bike and one bench with a small selection of dumbbells and two cable style machines. For us who train regularly it wasn’t fit for purpose but there is a fitness first opposite that offer day passes which is super convenient! The hotel itself was nice, there was a little black mould in the shower but aside from that, clean! The staff were polite and helpful but I would say more attention could be used in the pool facilities. Guests were walking in outside footwear to take a look and a lot of people taking photos in the pool where there are signs everywhere not to."

"Good stay in Central Bath Hotel. The hotel is well positioned to access Bath’s many attractions, although this means driving to it and getting parked on a Saturday can be interesting. The hotel itself is not much to look at from the outside, but inside it obviously has had a fairly recent refurb. The rooms whilst smallish were well appointed and clean, with a good bathroom and everything you’re likely to need. I found the staff friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was good"

"The staff are exceptionally polite, there is no faulting the service. But do I think it’s exceptional in the other ways, not at all. It was a good stay. Room is spacious and comfortable but the aircon was left on like an artic blast when we arrived so the room was not comfortable at all for sometime and a bin bag. (Empty) was left in the room on the floor, which wasn’t a great welcome. Shower goes hot and cold, it’s these details that l detract for me. Breakfast was nice, good selection, really long wait the kitchen lost the order and the staff while lovely only really one person knew what they were doing. The breakfast room does lack any charm or personality, not very handpicked. Check out was simple but asking how the stay was is missing. Maybe they know they get these niggles and don’t want to hear it everytime."

"Hotel was beautiful. Helpful staff, impeccably clean room, really comfy bed, spa treatments available, bathrobes available on request, GHD hairdryers in the rooms... There were so many details that honestly put this hotel a step above the rest. I will definitely be back!"
