"This hotel is very close to the railroad depot, so you hear the train whistle thoughout the night. It is within walking distance to downtown, so it was convenient for us. The walk is uphill going. Not an issue for us, but may be for others. They have a free shuttle which brings you to the hotel and back to the airport - so very convenient. When I called from the airport about the shuttle, the front desk guy was a little short with me and said that like he told the other guy - there is one shuttle and we would have to wait for it. I told him, not a problem and we made our way to the pick up area. The lady driving the shuttle was really nice so it made up for the other person. Check in was easy and our room was on the third floor. The rooms are configured differently - big room with empty space. We thought the hotel may have been something else and was turned into a hotel because of the layout. The water pressure in the shower was good, but you need to let the water warm up. I believe there is an indoor pool but we didn’t use it. Breakfast is included and is the standard continental: scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, toast, bagels and coffee/juices. They may change it up on different days. Even though the hotel was clean, bed comfortable, etc. - I wouldn’t stay again because of the train whistle. It woke me up, so not good for sensitive sleepers like me. If you are a sound sleeper - it would be ideal."

"The lady we checked in with was really nice, the room was clean. The only thing I can note as negative were the stains on the bedding. I could tell it was clean, but still a little unsettling. Overall would stay here again"

"This is not a bad place to stay considering what hotels go for around Anchorage. For the price, which is generally half what other brands are in the area, you get a decent room. The room was clean and the shuttle to and from the airport is a great touch. Would definitely stay here again."

"Tammy was awesome with customer service. The hotel was pretty dated. The walls were paper thin and the shower rods were falling off the wall. Tammy was able to fix a mess up made by Expedia."

"What was good about the property was the price for the night. There are no ice vending machines or refrigerator. Ice can be gotten in the lounge but there is no way to keep things refrigerated unless you bring a cooler. Room is clean.Bathroom has no venting for after showering. There is a heater with a fan in the bathroom that helps. For the price it is very reasonable lodging. Staff were very helpful in accomadating our needs."

"Great cozy property on big lake. The cranes wondering around were spectacular. Soaking in the outdoor hot tub after a long day walking was so great. The cabin was clean and very well stocked with everything we could need. So quite the whole time as well."
