"We stayed for one night, June 2025, I wish it had been longer! From start to finish, everything about our stay was lovely. Picturesque building in a beautiful setting. Plenty of room in the private car-park. The staff could not have been friendlier. We ate an evening meal in the pub and it was really lovely. Plenty of choice on the menu, reasonably priced and the food was excellent. Our room was spacious and looked as if it had been recently decorated. Comfortable bed, well-appointed bathroom, plenty of amenities. All you would expect from a really good hotel, let alone a country pub. Breakfast was lovely - well cooked, beautifully presented and ample quantities. I can't recommend The Wheatsheaf highly enough! Thank you!"

"It's a very comfortable cottage that's relaxing to stay in. Had most of the utilities in the cottage, only missing bleach and hand soap in the bathroom. Though I've used my body wash as a substitute, so not that much of an issue. I'd also wish that I was emailed the Welcome Pack a bit earlier, which would have helped me more in deciding what I needed to bring. But still, everything was laid out very nicely with no issues finding things. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone on a hiking trip or for a relaxing getaway.."

"We had a wonderful time in Low Bentham! The property owners were very accommodating, offering us great local recommendations for a pub lunch, and advising us on our travel and taxi needs. They also kindly offered to set up a sofa bed for our extra guest - sadly, this wasn't done but it was an easy fix and was hardly enough to ruin our stay! The cottage itself is utterly charming, thoughtfully decorated and maintained, with supreme attention-to-detail. The owners thought of everything and even left detailed instructions on how to operate the heating, and a lovely selection of teas, coffees, and syrups for us to enjoy. We highly recommend this cosy cottage retreat!"

"Clean, comfortable rooms but quite cosy. The pub is on the busy A65, so it can be quite noisy, even at the back. Very little choice for vegetarians/vegans, especially if you don't like fake meat. Although the kitchen did agree to do the mushroom salad which is normally only on the lunchtime menu for dinner, which was nice. Some fruit at breakfast would have been nice, but there was tasty bread. "
