"An excellent hotel in a convenient location close to the fish market and UNESCO area. Dinner in the restaurant was up to the highest international standards, although the breakfast was not quite as good as that we enjoyed in Oslo the previos morning."

"Just returned from a 4- night stay at Thon Briston in beautiful Bergen. The trip was a reunion with my family in Europe and I cannot be happier for choosing this hotel. There were 6 of us in this trip, staying in 5 separate rooms, and everyone had only great things to say about our stay in Thon Bristol. When we arrived we found out that the hotel and restaurant workers in Norway had just went on a strike. Some hotels closed their doors, and made their guests to leave, but not Thon Bristol. Can you imagine traveling from the other side of the world only to be told that you have nowhere to stay? We are so grateful to the hotel and their wonderful staff for welcoming us in and making our stay comfortable and memorable. Special thanks goes to the Front Desk staff who were friendly, helpful and professional. All our rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable- perfect for getting some rest after a busy day exploring stunning Bergen. Breakfast was included with the stay, and what a breakfast it was! The food was perfectly prepared( compliments to the chef), beautifully arranged, and the variety was better than some of the grand 5- star hotels I have stayed at. There were even local specialties, like the famous brown cheese, and because of that, it “ gained “ 6 new followers, with packs of it going home with my family. The location of the hotel is perfect- 5 min to the harbour, the Fish Market and everything else. Thank you, Thon Bristol Bergen, for a wonderful stay! "

"Hotel is near the light rail station at the bus station stop and will need a 10 mins walk to city centre. Quiet area and breakfast has a good spread (although the menu is the same for the 4 days). Staff is extremely helpful. No daily housekeeping and some amenities such as kettle can be requested from reception. There is free flow of coffee and tea which guests can consume at any time or to take away, which is a plus since the weather is quite chilly! Love the shampoo and conditioner provided! "

"Hotel location only 7 minutes walk to Bergen Central Train Station. To downtown and Harbour only 10 minutes walking distance. There is kitchen in the lobby. Staff is very warm and helpful"

"The Thon Hotel Orion was a nice surprise. Friendly and helpful staff. Every inch of the property was clean. The free breakfast buffet had a wonderful section of foods. Highly Recommended!"
