Bali Beach Hotel

"We loved this hotel, staff were so friendly. The check-in process was lovely, the entrance is really quite an experience. We were upgraded to the suite, which was spacious and well equipped. The view to the sea was just beautiful, make an effort to see the sunrise, it’s wonderful. The breakfast really was 5* so much choice and always refreshed, and freshly cooked. It really was a very good breakfast. The location was a little further up the beach, but having taken out a bike and cycled the whole beach area, we felt that we were not missing out on anything. It’s about a 10min walk to the icon mall, and there are many choices of eateries around the hotel, head out the back for a more authentic choice. Pool is busy and people do reserve sun beds before they go for breakfast, so can get very busy. But the pool was clean and very large.. The beach opposite is really very beautiful and well maintained, lots of local sellers along the beach front too, which was great to see and support. Overall a fab hotel and beautiful part of Bail, but just to say, if you are looking for culture, in comparison to Ubud, this area is much more commercialised, however the locals have integrated with the tourists and you can really embrace their culture through food stalls and Warung’s… They are wonderful friendly people, and I miss their positive spirt…"

"Very large hotel - would be excellent for a conference but we were on vacation. The room lack power points around the bed for charging. The balcony offered is misleading - 1 metre wide and no furniture - unusable except for smoking. You need a ground floor room at this hotel. A long walk to the beach - take a taxi. On the positive side - the breakfast offered is excellent."

"It was a lovely resort, close to the beach and shops (cafes, bars, restaurants, massage etc). The staff were extremely friendful and helpful and took pride in their relevant positions. Breakfast was very nice and adequate. One thing the resort needs to stop and eradicate, is people "grabbing" lounge beds by the pools with their towels. So many guests would put their towel on a lounge bed and disappear for 2-3 hrs. It was good to see some guests didn't put up with this and move some of the towels but guests returning hours later were quite angry that they no longer had their lounge beds. Similarly some guests would walk away when they saw all the towels on the unoccupied lounge beds."

"We had a wonderful stay at Miru Sanur. Everything was perfect — the room was clean and comfortable, the location was great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The service was excellent throughout our stay, and we really enjoyed our time here. Highly recommended!"

"Breakfast nice, beds comfortable. Staff very friendly. Toilet placed in odd corner. Hard to get up without hitting your head on shower wall. Pool a bit on the cold side. Very unhappy with pool policies. Young children as 3 years in adult pool unsupervised by parents. Guests putting towels on chairs and occupying chairs for others as early as 6am. Spoiling the holiday."

"We booked quite late for our stay here , and may have got one of the smaller rooms that was left but it was vey modern and certainly provided for all our needs . We had a lovely courtyard off our room where we could sit out and only a short walk to reception , pools etc. Segara is a very large resort and popular with families but there are quiet areas that adults can find too . With 5 pools on offer it was very good . Segara is in the best position we felt for us with easy access to the beach , great boardwalks north and south to explore and so many restaurants. The Icon is also a very easy walk The staff were so friendly and efficient , always with a smile on their faces . We were offered 2~ 10 minute complimentary massages on check-in but my husband did not want his but they wouldn’t let me have the 2 …which I thought was unreasonable . Afternoon tea was also offered each day but with very limited food and quite cold tea and coffee . Pool bar was a nice way to spend some time with a happy hour cocktail . We would definitely return to Segara but book earlier in the future."

"The 2 bedroom villa was not what I expected. The lounge area was a seperate villa to the bedrooms. There was a sliding door that separated the bedrooms which did not lend a lot of privacy to either room. Bed was comfortable and villas were very clean. Little things let the Pavillions down. Worn out bath mats and towels. Refillable amenities. Not knowing the ingredients or what the product was that you are using. The breakfast was plentiful but again the small details were inconsistent. I ordered one morning the breakfast croissant consisting of scrambled eggs, ham and cheese but had asked for no scrambled egg. So essentially a ham and cheese croissant. This was delivered with ham only. When the cheese arrived after I asked ,Parmesan cheese was delivered. Next morning I ordered the eggs Benedict this time they forgot the spinach.Unfortunately during our 3 night stay on the last leg of our holiday which was meant for total relaxation by the pool and a slower pace in Sanur there was apparently an emergency plumbing issue in the villa right beside ours. For the whole time, there was jackhammering, banging,grinding and construction noise that woke us each morning, we could not eat breakfast in peace and the noise continued all day non stop until 6.00 at night. We had asked to speak to the manager every day and finally on our departure we spoke to her and there were apologies but our holiday had been ruined. Although it had some good points I feel you may be able to find better."
