"Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious if a bit dated. Food was lovely and service was great. Only criticism I have is that we had a triple room but there were only two mugs and two tumbler glasses."

No instructions of any kind for water, heating, cooker etc. No local info about shops, pubs, services etc. Awful double mattress. Despite aĺl that, a most impressive and comfortable static in an amazing location overlooking the North Sea - sunrises to die for."

"We had a great weekend staying in the Essex lodge. I found everything to be as described on the website and the hot tub was perfect. Some nice little touches with the sports equipment on the field and the walk in the woods is a hidden gem, well worth the effort. Overall a good area to visit with plenty to do."
