"Coming from hot & humid SWFL the 3 days at the cottage was wonderful & way too short. Weather was cool & comfortable & I Ioved daydreaming on the porch swing oveooking the river & sleeping with doors open & A/C."

"Beautiful home! So enjoyed the porch and watching the wildlife and listening to the creek. Very relaxing! I liked that there were gates at the porch steps so our dog could enjoy laying freely on the porch. Thankful that we could bring our very spoiled beagle. Great communication with the host. Definitely would like to stay at Deacon Escape again!"

"Somewhat rustic property with everything needed. We enjoyed: two bedrooms on each level, the fire pit area, the hot tub, the dining area, and the proximity to Linville and many surrounding hikes. Great place for a weekend escape."

"This house was beautiful and Tanya was an amazing host. Breakfast was delicious and a wonderful bonus. The rooms were spacious and clean. Tanya was very accommodating to our requests and even let us see the chickens, ducks, and dogs."

"Only issue we had was no Internet due to a recent storm. The manager, owner and Spectrum tried everything to get us back up, but had to schedule a time to come out after we were gone. Not the properties fault. We, personally, had an issue with phone coverage which made things more of a challenge. Overall, I would recommend this property."
