"The house was spotless, open and airy, the kitchen was fully equipped and Then Some. The property was beautiful and quiet, but yet very close to a lot of the things we wanted to go and see. It will definitely be on my list to visit again next year, and the owners were super at communication and checked on us and replied back quickly. The price was very reasonable for the area and we enjoyed being able to take our 14 pound Shih Tzu with us that hiked all the trails with us. We made great memories and had a lovely time. Would definitely give this an A rating with 10 stars or more and will definitely be back. "

"Small but nicely decorated, with an outdoor whirlpool, and a small river view. Peaceful place, very close to interesting attractions, such as Linville waterfalls and caverns, and a beautiful winery open to visitors. Staff friendly and instrumental when asked any questions."

It was a perfect distance from the Table Rock 50 K and had lots of nearby attractions for the rest of the family, who weren't running. "Our niece, her husband, and their 18-month-old daughter joined us for 5 nights. They are serious hikers and wanted to be near some serious hiking trails. The house was easy to find, far enough from the main road that we heard no traffic noise and close enough to the main road that we could be out and around in short order. The view from the house was even better than the VRBO photos. We spent most of our house time on the sun porch. The den was comfortable but it was hard to beat the view from the sun porch. The kitchen was well stocked, and we cooked breakfast and dinner for 5 days. The fridge was roomy and the stove, microwave and coffee maker worked flawlessly. We had more cooking utensils, pots, pans, and dishes than we knew what to do with. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms had large, fluffy towels. The host has a warning sign that the hot water is very hot. She's not kidding, so be careful. We ran several loads of clothes in the washer and dryer and never had a problem.Cellular service is a bit spotty in this area, so we're thankful that the house WiFi kept up with 4 adults during the time we were in the house.Travel time to Boone, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, and other attractions is in the 20 to 40 minute range.Our host answered our infrequent messages within 10 minutes. I don't think I've ever experienced a more responsive host. I highly recommend this property."
