"The lake view was beautiful. They also had a fabulous deck area with tables chairs to enjoy the view and hangout at. Dining was convenient and could walk up to. Dining room had big windows and view of lake. We ate breakfast & diner there. Food was good. Very convenient to Walkins Glen park and downtown. Great location to many activities."

"The staff were extra helpful. The facilites were rustic but clean. The fire pit and view of the lake were awesome. There was a guest lounge room that supplied a vending machine for smores, a restroom, filtered water, coffee and hot chocolate. "

"The Best Western Plus The Hammondsport Hotel was a fantastic choice for our family of three adults and two kids. We were immediately impressed by how spacious and spotlessly clean our room was, easily accommodating all five of us. As a traveling family, we especially appreciated the thoughtfulness that the sofa bed was already made up when we arrived—a huge win! All the amenities provided were great and contributed to a very comfortable stay. The complimentary breakfast was very nice, offering plenty of variety for both the adults and the children. Most importantly, the hotel staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our visit. Overall, this was an excellent purchase and we highly recommend it, especially for families!"

"Bathroom tile floor dirty,,,,stepped in something and cleaned it up with tissues. Shower curtain up wrong side out - 2 queen beds. Comforter wrinkled as could be but clean. When I turned the bed down the fitted sheet wasn't all the way on and the top sheet was half way down the bed. The kicker was the laminated card with Sylvia's name on it giving a QR code to leave her a tip! Breakfast choices good but fritata wasn't warm so I left it. Rest of breakfast was good."

"Loved being by the lake and next to the welcome center and the state park. Coffee was not good, but that’s a personal taste. Dinner menu at hotel was very limited and only changed once a week. No substitutions allowed. "
