"It was a bit of an adventure finding Hotel Pacifica after a long day of travel, given it is located on the far side of the river with no obvious way to cross, but after asking directions from another "gringo" we found our way across the foot bridge. The suite was fine for three adults although a bit sparse in terms of kitchen supplies. Good enough for a simple breakfast or lunch but cooking supper would've been difficult. "My experience at Buenaventura was one of the best. It is authentic Mexican resort with Mexican cuisine, the staff are amazing, very friendly. My encounter with one the manager name Carlos who went above and beyond to make my experience remarkable. Definitely will recommend it, and will go back whenever I go to Pueta Vallarta."

"The service is great, the property is incredible. The trams are not an issues and the pools are great too. BUT, the food is absolutely terrible. You’re paying 5 star resort prices for 2 star resort costs. Our first meal was at taco break. The tortillas chips were stale and inedible. My kids tried to eat them because they were so hungry but when I asked for new ones they said they couldn’t make any. I also went to breakfast at samba and cafe de lago, both again just not good. Mexican food is delicious and none of that greatness was in any of the meals. I think the only semi good meal was at the pool which were the nachos and aguachiles. Other then that we chose to leave the property and eat meals outside. You’re not allowed to leave in an uber, you have to pay the astronomical taxi prices, but even with paying for that it was still cheaper to eat at local delicious restaurants."

"This was our first time at an all-inclusive property, had a good experience overall. We were with our 1.5 year old daughter and she had a great time. Check-in: 6/10 - room was ready asap, but there were some system glitches, and I wasn't able to make the account you use to make reservations, order room service, etc. Staff were understanding, but weren't really able to do anything until the next day. The room specifications I had confirmed through email also weren't available. Room: 8/10 - Clean, good AC, great view. Daily cleaning was efficient and pretty thorough. Activities: 7/10 - Activities were fun, but sometimes not well organized. My wife went to a couple scheduled fitness classes that just never happened, and staff didn't seem to know about them. Kayaking was fun and well organized. The kids corner was a hit with our daughter. Food: 9/10 - the buffet was always above average, the Sushi restaurant was pretty meh, the Italian was excellent. If we were to go again, we'd probably eat at the Italian place every night. Room service breakfast was also excellent. Always warm, on time, and as ordered. We got this everyday. -- The elevators got pretty busy during peak hours. Take the stairs unless you're way up high. If staying again, I'd request a room on the 2nd/3rd floor. Easy trip by stairs to the ground floor pools/beach, and restaurants/lobby. There seemed to be lots of day-pass guests using the hotel during the day. Pools were great, beach was clean and calm."
