What a quaint, little village in a beautiful locale. This newly renovated hotel is in the heart of Lostwithiel, just 1 mile from Restormel Castle. The rooms are beautiful and have modern amenities.
The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I always have a couple simple requests on my reservations and no one ever complies so I was startled when the woman at the front desk mentioned that they had provided my request.
Fantastic breakfast buffet, quality ingredients, restaurant and bar...

What a fantastic hotel. I have walked past this hotel on holidays to Cornwall most of my life but this was the first time I actually stayed in a hotel in the local area. I am pleased I picked the Carlyon Bay Hotel.
Not only does the hotel seem to beam old world charm, it is the epitome of a classy environment with staff that will do anything to make your stay more comfortable and are a pleasure to deal with.
The local area is quiet but you are not coming to this hotel to party but relax...

The cobblestone parking was slightly challenging, and we weren’t expecting to be in a separate building from the inn, but the room was very comfortable and the large window had a great view which brightened up the space. The location was perfect, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We appreciated that breakfast was included.

This is a charming hotel with spectacular views over the historical harbor. We had a beautiful view room with an open deck and lovely furnishings. The breakfast was very good and the dining room with views over the harbor where you could watch the sailboats and fishing boats going in and out of the harbor. Well kept hotel with charm and style. Elegant feel and good quality accommodations. Small rooms - but all English hotel rooms seem a little tight to this American.
