"I arrived at Hotel D with high hopes, especially given the strong Expedia reviews. I found a property with a tiny lobby without a well-developed common area. The room was nice, fairly spartan decor, modern, and comfortable. The big problem was the lack of air conditioning in the common areas and insufficient air conditioning in the rooms. OK, it was an extremely hot week in Geneva. But even at night, with windows shut and within the closed space of my room, with the A/C temp set at 17 degrees Celsius, I couldn't get the room sufficiently cold. The staff were very nice and were sensitive to my issues. But didn't get much responsiveness, perhaps because they knew there wasn't much they could do. Overall, I had a reasonable experience, but expected more from a hotel with average reviews above 9.0."

"The room was very clean and modern. The staff were nice, and air conditioning was working. A very convenient location for the train and getting to and from the airport. The soaps gave us a bad reaction, so if you have sensitive skin I’d stay clear. Outside of that a really nice hotel for a competitive price."

"The hostel was close to the lake which made it a convenient location. There were plenty of areas to sit around both inside and out, the reception had a few reasonably priced drinks which was great. The only thing that would have made it better would be curtains around the bunks for privacy, which I have found in most hostels."

"I stayed here for the third time, now for 5 nights, in June 2026. I wholeheartedly continue to recommend this hotel. It is the kind of “everything works, nothing sticks in your eye” place that is just dependable, friendly and proper. The room was very spacious, with working amenities (coffee, tea, good fridge - empty, can be filled downstairs, safe, iron board and iron, bathrobes & slippers, desk, easy chair etc.). The bed was super good. I don’t normally sleep well and I had here three full nights unmoved. Breakfast is delicious with many kinds of options including a staffed egg station and, less usual in Europe, a noodle/udon station. Try their breads and their jellies - delicious! I chose the half-board option and was very happy with it. Better than anything you can get around cost-wise, and very balanced and tasty (3-courses). The hotel restaurant has a delightful opening policy where essentially one can get some food between 5:30 am and 22:30 pm. Wish most hotels had the same. Walkability and transportation: if you have baggage do take advantage of the free airport shuttle. Goes every 20 minutes to the airport. However if you are going out unhindered, try the walking route. Take the “PALEXPO” sign through the big parking lot opposite, and then you reach the (shaded) entrance to the railway station Aéroport. Much better, quick and good to get your steps in. Plus, going into town, you essentially step on a train in around 8 minutes. Overall will return!"
