"If we had visited this hotel in 1976, we would have been impressed with its style and decor. That said, it was clean and it was on a great location next to the Botanical gardens. There is a shopping mall nearby, too, but getting to it involves a perilous crossing of a busy road where vehicles are out to kill. Not bad, overall, just a bit dated. "

"The hotel offers reasonable value for money, but could be fantastic given its heritage. It looks like it could do with refurbishment (last done 25 years ago?) We chose to stay here as my parents had stayed there 70 years ago. Breakfast in the restaurant were very good with a strong local flavour. unfortunately it does not open in the evening leaving only the small cafe in the atrium area. We did not use the small pool. "

"This hotel did a really good job in fooling customers to reserve a room and stealing their money. I learned it the hard way. I had made my reservation on Dec 4 via Hotels.com, paid my reservation, and gotten confirmation email. As usual, right? And I have been a loyal user of Hotels.com for a few years.
