For our 4 nights in Cornwall we stayed at a very quaint Bed and Breakfast in Truro. Centrally located, it was a great place to stay and "wagon wheel" our day trips. From there, relatively speaking (by Texas standards) you can easily drive to many towns, fishing villages, beaches and other sites. We visited, Port Isaac, Tintagel, St Ives, Penzance, Land's End, Porthcurno and Minack Theatre. The hotel was perfect, our room clean and kept nice over our stay. The breakfast was unbelievable, so much choice. All very tasty and fresh, so very pleasing to the eye and the stomach. The staff to include;Ty, Thomas, Amy, kwan and bartenders. And the breakfast greeters. My massage that I had with Amilie was out of this world so I booked another one, she was so pleasant and excellent at her job, the best ever. Wonderful stay with very helpful and friendly staff.

If you are interested in exploring Cornwall, this is a great location to do it from you are a short distance from the north and south coasts as well as the western end of the country. You have access to very good roads. On top of that, you will find yourself in a well appointed room being helped be an excellent staff. We’re vegetarians and we found very good meals.

This may have been the cleanest hotel I have ever been in. Immaculate. The staff were genuinely helpful (getting our bags upstairs, for example.) The excellent breakfast was cooked to order. The buffet had fresh cut fruit, which was a lovely touch. The location was a little out of the way, but the views and the grounds made up for it. We did not stay in the shepherds huts, but they looked really interesting (and super high quality) Excellent for couples.

This hotel is in a great location near the beach and only a 10 - 15 minute walk from town. There are coastal walks nearby along with restaurants to visit and watch the sun set over the ocean. The head receptionist gave us a wonderful welcome and was very informative about the hotels facilities and the immediate area. The room was a tad hot due to unseasonably warm weather and no air conditioning, but otherwise very comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Our room was adorable with views out over the fields. The surroundings are serene and restful and the breakfast was amazing!

A beautiful property. Just a short walk from town. Excellent restaurant. We enjoyed breakfast with our room and did stay for dinner 2 nights as the food was fabulous. Service was perfect - attentive and friendly. Thank you Alverton. Next time in Truro, we will make the Alverton our base.

This property was simply wonderful. The owners were kind and helpful, the room was gorgeous, the location was close to everything you want to see in Newquay and transport, and the breakfast was excellent. Seriously. Stay here. ❤️

We used the hotel as a base to explore the Lizard and Land’s End peninsulas. Very nice rooms, lovely breakfast, and the staff went out of their way to be helpful.

Very comfortable and spacious rooms. Even though it is on a main road, the double glazing kept out all noise making it very quiet at night. Breakfast menu is excellent, dinner menu likewise and the bar has an excellent choice of local ales and cider. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this inn
