The Story Behind the Name: We rented it from a private owner in September of 2007. It happened to be on the market. I joked with the owner before we arrived that I would buy Hemlock Hideaway from him. We bought Hemlock Hideaway from him in October of 2007. We were enchanted with the area and all that it had to offer including wonderful weather and have not regretted our IMPULSIVE decision ONCE :) - Shane & Michelle, homeowners

We stay here every Memorial Day weekend and just love it. The cabin is perfect for kids, cozy and well maintained. Always our first choice of where to stay when in Boone.

Clean, comfy and well stocked
Great cabin that was extremely clean. Booking, check in and check out was a breeze.
We arrived everything was exactly as it should be very clean quiet neighborhood tried to book same house in December someone already got it will definitely stay again
Checking in to this location was so easy, I wanted to check in early and they worked it out. House was perfect for our stay, everything we needed was there.
We loved our long weekend here! Very comfortable, clean, close to everything, well stocked kitchen and our kids loved all the toys and games (and the cuckoo clock!) One of the absolute best rentals we’ve had. We hope to visit again!
The cabin had everything needed and was very clean. Was there for my daughters 14 birthday. Had plenty of room! Lots of games and Hottub a plus! We really enjoyed our stay!
Property is fantastic! The toys for the kids to play with were a nice surprise for them. Open floor plan spacious and beautifully decorated with a large hot tub.
We loved staying at Hemlock Hideaway! Very clean property. Enjoyed the hot tub, gas fireplace and fire pit. The property is set back off the road and does not feel like you are in a neighborhood. We will definitely return to Hemlock Hideaway!

Hemlock Hideaway is a gorgeous cabin with amazing views.
My family and I booked Hemlock Hideaway for Spring Break and was not disappointed! The cabin is beautiful and cozy. The pictures online does not do this place justice. The hot tub and fire pit is just a bonus. The property itself is perfect for exploring, especially for the children. Also, you are minutes away from all of the popular spots. We will differently rebook this cabin!
This was our second time staying here, and it truly feels like HOME!!! We love absolutely everything about this location, and our son LOVES the toys! :). The peace and quiet, fire pit, cozy home, and perfect location can’t be beat! We will for sure be back next year. Thank you for another amazing experience!!!
We stayed at Hemlock Hideaway for 5 days and loved every minute. The cabin has all the amenities and more than we expected. Great place for kids. Beautiful area- really quiet and peaceful and just a few minutes from Boone.
We had a wonderful time. And we had a couple of hiccups that the management company immediately helped with. If you are headed to the High Country of NC, I definitely recommend Hemlock Hideaway.

Our family weekend included 2 of my grown sons, a daughter-in-law, 2 granddaughters (2 1/2 and 5 years) and the two of us. The house was fantastic. Everything we needed. The house is set apart from the neighboring houses enough that we felt like we were out on our own! The fire pit is perfect. We had such a great weekend. Can't wait to come back. This is a property we will come back to. The property managers responded quickly to questions we had. Awesome experience!!
We decided to rent a house in the NC mountains for Thanksgiving and chose Hemlock Hideaway after much hunting online. The house was more beautiful than the description online and couldn't have been more perfect for the older folks as well as the two little boys aged 5 and 3. The firepit was a perfect place to hangout and be together while the little guys explored the lot to find hiding spots and special part of nature. The owners had provided soap, paper products, unbelievably comfortable beds and throws - everything even down to coffee filters . It was truly an unexpected surprise and will be hard to beat this adventure to any part of the mountains! Many thanks for a terrific stay!
Loved this property! Anyone with small children, look no further. The room with the bunk beds downstairs had toys and children’s books that our children (boy and girl) loved. It kept them busy for hours when we would’ve otherwise not had much for them to do inside.
The cabin had everything you could possibly need (even a baby gate for stairs) and was very cozy and comfortable. The yard was also a huge plus as it allowed for lots of room for them to run around while my husband and I could sit and watch from the back deck.
Also, the proximity to both Boone and Blowing Rock cannot be beat. Look no further, book Hemlock Hideaway!
We really enjoyed our family trip. Hemlock Hideway met our needs in almost every way.
The fire pit and hot tub were definitely two of the best features. Everything was so very clean. This meant everything to us.
We were hoping for a more secluded area but that was my lack of investigation into the area.
It was a convenient location for all major attractions.
We came with lots of food. We had to rearrange the cabinets to have any storage space at all.
There were great kitchen supplies but very, very, very little storage space.
The owners need to add a stand alone cupboard where the coat rack is for food storage.
Internet was sketchy at best but that comes with this territory.
We had a wonderful time watching the stars and enjoying the stellar weather.
