The house was so charming and historic We were able to walk up to an excellent restaurant in another historic building. As well, it was so close to Lucca and the train station. "The views are stunning and the Villa is charming and stocked with everything you need to be self sufficient. The hosts are warm and friendly and made the trip extra special for all of us. Monica made us mind blowingly good dinners several nights, and be forewarned, there will be so much food that you will have enough to feed you lunch and breakfast the next day. Everything is organic and extremely locally sourced, and she makes all of her own cheeses from her flock of sheep and goats. Giovanni's safari of the remote Italian villages in the area, far from the tourist crowds, was a big highlight of the trip. Grazie mille to all of the residents of Villa Lean, including the dogs and BeBeee."

"Planned this trip with my two siblings and my sister in law and we are so happy we chose Massimo’s Villa! Massimo is a wonderful host and went above and beyond to accommodate us on a very late arrival time due to some airline delays. We should have arrived at 3pm but due to delays and being rerouted through Rome we did not arrive until 1am. Massimo’s suggestions for restaurants and winery visits were on point and setting us up with a Chef to cook dinner for us at the Villa made for a very memorable evening. Would not hesitate to stay at this property again! 5 Stars!!!"

"This little farmhouse is 100 years old and still had everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable beds, nice showers and plenty of hot water. It gave us a taste of a life lived long ago. Views were beautiful and the town of Lucca was 20 minutes away by car. Shopping there is great. The farmhouse is remote, quiet, and in the middle of olive trees. Wi-Fi was good, and the parking was a nice amenity. Massimo provided us with a lot of local information which was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay."

"Beautiful house as described. Perfect for big families. Only the access road is a bit difficult, we had a Renault Espace which struggled on the dirt road due to the gradient of the road, but we were lucky as no rain. House is close to Lucca which is a very nice town to visit. 1 hr from Florence airport. Well located for food shopping. Nice view of the surrounding mountains, we were lucky to see deers in the morning in the front garden. We had Fabrizio on one of the night to cook traditional dinner for the whole family which I highly recommend. Very easy check in Giacomo was there for any queries as well as Lucy. Thank you for everything."

"We arrived Nov 10th and the check in was wonderfully communicated, we used the Whatsapp messenger and the property owners were super thorough on everything! (Thank you Lisa and Luca)....Once we walked in the door it was literally like the two dimensional pics from the listing burst into three dimensions...Everything was exactly as it was advertised. The home was immaculately clean, the views....oh the views were something of dreams, and everything you needed was there, coffee maker, pots/pans, dishes and glasses, everything you could need was right there....This was our "home-Base" for the first 5 of 10 Days in Italy and the bar was set very high for the second home after staying here :).....My wife even reached out to the property owner to have a bottle of Prosecco chilled and on the table to celebrate our arrival and our wedding anniversary that day....Such a lovely home, and home owners....The home is situated so you are removed from the city feel, yet close enough to visit Florence (1.5hr), Pisa (1hr), Lucca (1.25hr), and many little towns in between....We absolutely loved staying here and recommend this property to anyone looking to be centrally located in Northern Tuscany, while also being immersed in the beauty of the mountains...Thank you again Lisa and Luca!!"
