"First the good stuff. Parking was easy and right outside my room- good during the rainy season. The desk clerks were nice and pleasant. The bed was clean and the room itself was clean. I used the fridge, kettle and the hair dryer, and these were fine.
The not so good stuff: the carpet was torn, the shower plumbing leaked and sprayed from a connection point down low, the locks on the door were non-functional (door chain with both parts screwed into the door frame instead of one part on the actual door, and a turn lock that did nothing). The worst was my room was apparently double booked so strangers were trying to get in late at night. I told them through the door that it was occupied but they came back with a clerk that proceeded to open the door until I spoke up again. The clerk quickly apologized and left but I ended up moving a chair to block the door just for some mental comfort while I slept. It was expensive for how outdated and rundown the interior was but maybe I'm just not used to Aussie prices yet. The walls are thin enough I could hear neighbors watching tv and chatting. I brought my white noise machine just in case, so I could sleep undisturbed and was glad I did. It looks much nicer in the picture."
