"A true gem. This is my new go-to place for the first (and second) night in Cape Town. Most international flights arrive in the early morning and commercial downtown hotels do not let you check in before 3 pm. Most of us are exhausted. So make your way to Franschhoek against traffic and stop at some wineries on the way. Then rest at La Fontaine. Many fine restaurants within 0.5 miles. Lovely breakfast and exceptional service."

"The hospitality at the Waterstone is top notch. We were greeted by Charmaine, who got us settled and made sure everything was taken care of on our arrival. The next morning we had breakfast out in the garden and pool area. Everything was fresh and delicious, in beautiful surroundings. "We had a wonderful stay, was a long weekend away. Hermanus Boutique Guest House has a great location, walking distance to many shops and restaurants. great rooms too and friendly service. I I had to criticise I would say it can be a bit noisy in the morning when setting up breakfast if you have one of the inside rooms... But really a nice place we loved it."

"Lovely people, comfortable, outside hottub was fab, breakfasts made to order, really large bathroom. The only thing was the tech which doesn't work and needs to be ditched. It's a gimmick which doesn't add to the experience- not pleasant having music in the room going on in the middle of the night having had no explanation of what to do to stop it. All in all though very much to be recommended."

"Large property with many rooms, all beautifully decorated. Do not expect any views though. Walled property in a neighbourhood. Service was always friendly. The one big disappointment was that my room was not sound proof as advertised. I could follow full conversations from the room next door and every little noise could be heard. "Pleasant stay but many nicer places in Hermanus. 10 minute walk to town. Owner was rather intense in communications. Parking not easy to get in or out of tho we were lucky and got the one more accessible space. Although spa and free bike rentals mentioned in Hotels.com information there was no sight or mention of either.on site . "
