"Staff upon arrival were friendly and pointed us in the direction of the bar and seats so we could relax until check in time 40 minutes later. Check in was relatively painless except none of the pre check-in information I’d provided earlier was available so I had to complete it all again. Not a huge problem but a little unnecessary duplicated effort. The bedroom and public are all a little bit tired and could do with some modernisation to bring them up to a higher standard befitting of the Hotel and its unique location and amenities. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful - fruit, cereal, continental and a buffet style Full Welsh. Other special dishes were also available like eggs Benedict etc. I didn’t bother with the spa but the modest swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym were all very adequate for the period of the stay."

"A lovely hotel for our 2 day stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Great for a base to see local attractions. Rooms were clean and tidy. Bar and bar staff good."

"We returned for our 2nd wedding anniversary and had an amazing stay. The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. We had our two dogs with us who were treated as well as we were if not better! Breakfast had ample options and staff could not be more helpful. A relaxing atmosphere with beautiful views. We can’t wait to go back."

"It is a peaceful and warm hotel with cleaning rooms, delicious breakfast, especially the balaclavas pudding and sausage which are different from other’s. It is also very convenient to the spots of llangorse lake and waterfalls."
