"Nice staff, everything worked well, parking was cheap thanks to a discounted on-road pay and display scheme, property is a bit dated in places but all was fine. Pianist in the bar was a great touch. I would stay there again."

This has become our hotel of choice every time we visit Eastbourne and which is very often. "What a treasure Rye has with The George. Extremely well located, about a 10 minute walk (albeit some uphill) from the station parking, a lovely old building that's in good condition. We went at low season so Rye was quiet (great for us, albeit some businesses were closed for staff vacations...not a problem), and very walkable. We enjoyed several small pubs which felt very cosy and welcoming in the cooler nights. Strongly recommended. "
