Silver Maple Inn

Silver Maple Inn

10/10 Excellent
"So the room was small - but it was a well priced motel. Water pressure was great. Quiet. Family oriented. Nice siting area right in front of the rooms. Great easy walk to downtown - you have to visit all the great shops nearby - the brewery, Rhino's, the general store, the fly shop - everyone in town was amazing - they are used to the tourists being here - stopping between different attractions. Be sure to got to the brewery and meet some of the locals - amazing people!"

"Loved the view of Mono Lake! Property was simple, yet clean. So nice that it was right across the street from a couple of restaurants... which was so nice after a long day hiking to have something close-by and easy! We loved both of the restaurants across the street! Everything was clean, nice area to view Mono Lake! Be aware that office is closed from 12 pm to 2 pm... which wasn't a problem at all. We got there right around 2 pm and got checked in without a problem. Overall we were happy with our experience at this hotel. At first I was concerned that we were so far away from the lower areas in Yosemite... but we ended up enjoying the upper part of Yosemite closer to this property even more! Tenaya Lake is absolutely beautiful, and if you have a paddleboard or a kayak... it is a MUST STOP! We loved the hike around Tenaya Lake (3 Mile Hike), which wasn't too far.. and was cooler than Yosemite Valley... and was mostly in the shade! Also were a few other hikes closer to the Tioga Pass that were lovely! Don't miss Olmsted Point lookout ... which isn't too far from Tenaya Lake! It was absolutely stunning at sunset!"
