"Clean room, had an upgrade too. Bathroom was clean, nice view out of the window. Breakfast excellent as usual. No issues. "

"The hotel has been photographed well, but in reality the hotel has become a bit dated and worn around the edges. The jacuzzi was not working and the pool temperature was cold. Tiles missing in the steam room, and left broken on the floor. The ladies pool changing room showered were dirty with numerous large chunks of grit on the floor. I alerted the staff and though they apologised did not appear to leap into action to rectify the issue. The room I stayed in was missing any bathroom door hooks so my towel got soaked when the water leaked from the shower tray, onto a floor which has clearly been damaged from previous leaks with cracked grout. Bathroom also had dirty and mildly rusty towel radiator. Mattress was acceptable but had seen better days as the did the base of the bed which just looked battered. Food was acceptable but overpriced given the quality. The staff were polite and courteous and the views lovely, but overall I wouldn’t recommend to others. "

"Beautiful hotel and grounds. Clean, airy amd very tasteful deco and high quality throughout. Peacful and relaxing vibe. Pool, sauna etc great as well. Lovely walk as well around the grounds and river. Will be back."

"The hotel was ideal for what we needed. The rooms are very spacious but the bathrooms could do with a refresh. It is really good we can bring our dog and the complimentary parking was a welcome surprise. Thank you "

"Highlights are the centre-of-town location, the restaurant/breakfast room and lovely character of the hotel. Staff were friendly and room was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was good, ours being cooked-to-order but the buffet ‘full-English’ was less appealing (bacon not replenished and fried eggs that looked like they had been standing for some time - the latter should be cooked fresh to order). Decor in places (corridors especially) due for a refresh and the outlook of our first-floor room was into a ‘well’ facing other rooms’ windows. Overall a pleasant one-night stay and walkable to the City hospital."

"Enjoyed my stay. Clean room. Small thing, but please get proper brown sauce and ketchup for breakfast. The sachets were not great. Coffee was good though."
