"Outstanding value for money — genuinely hard to beat in KL. I stayed in a Genius Suite which was enormous, beautifully furnished with a four-poster bed, chaise longue, and a gorgeous arched window. The bedding deserves special mention: proper feather pillows and Egyptian cotton that made for the best night’s sleep of my trip. It’s those details that separate a true five-star experience from the rest. The Majestic has real character. In a city where many upscale hotels feel like interchangeable corporate properties, this one stands apart with its colonial heritage and distinctive atmosphere. It feels worthy of the Autograph Collection branding — individual, considered, and with a genuine sense of place. The smokehouse bar alone is worth a visit even if you’re not staying. Staff were friendly, efficient, and welcoming throughout. Everything felt well-run without being overly formal. The only slight caveat is location. While centrally placed on paper, it doesn’t quite have the walkability of areas like Mont Kiara or Bukit Bintang — you’ll likely need a Grab for most outings. That said, if you’re happy with that trade-off, the quality of the room and the price point make this an exceptional choice. For what you’d pay for a basic chain hotel room in London, you’re getting a genuine suite in a landmark property. Highly recommended."

"There were shops close to the hotel, across a busy 3 lanes of traffic, there is a crosswalk but the cars dont slow down or stop for you. The pool was small and warm. The staff are freindly and helpful, not a large selection at breakfast. In our room the fridge didnt work, the carpets are stained and and in need of a deep clean even in the hallway outside. Your room card is used both for the door and power in the room we had to ask for a second card as the power is on a timer and turned off when you leave. Fire alarm went off twice both times a false alarm. The lifts are slow and your card is needed to operate the lift. You could hear people moving about opening and closing doors all hours of the night."

"Fantastic room. Amazing service, especially the butler service. Great food, including outstanding breakfasts. One of the best hotel stays ever. But why charge for the (small) kids club?"
