"The room itself was great. Good sized, great view, FANTASTIC shower. Our beds were only made one out of a possible three days, which was puzzling. The room is super clean. The tv is huge but is not a smart tv and the remote is not very intuitive. There are two bottles of water in the room but if you’re not a higher up Hyatt member they’re three bucks each. Like: Really? I just paid you $1,200 for a room and you’ll charge me for two bottled waters? I was unamused by the attempted upsell to a better room without a clear explanation of what we’d be getting. Not necessarily pushy, but felt odd. The staff is otherwise friendly and professional. Nothing is free in this hotel (no fruit, cookies, etc). No grocery stores nearby so you’re locked into their restaurants if you don’t have a car, which we didn’t. This is not the hotel’s fault (I guess? Because everything seems well calculated to take your money), but to go to the falls, which we did all five days, you’re basically forced to take the incline railway, which is $4CAD each way. A switchback walkway would be great, and it’s a beautiful area. The concierge(s) were very confused where the FlixBus Mt. Carmel stop was, which caused me consternation for sure! One told me it was a short walk from the hotel, but this proved to be a spiritual center(?!) So, in short, bring plenty of cash with you!"
