"The staff and facilities were second to none and catered for all our needs. With a family with a 2 year old and 7 year old, staff were attentive and accommodating throughout and mindful of our needs. The food at breakfast was fantastic and plentiful with everything from English breakfast to continental with many fruits and yogurt choices available. There was even a vast array of breads on offer too. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat."

"We booked last minute randomly to break a journey and i'm glad we choose this Inn. The hotel was full and the bar was absolutely packed as they had 3 large party bookings that evening. Despite this they found room for us to eat and the food was excellent despite the pressure the kitchen must have been under that evening. The room was clean and well presented and everything worked and it should, all the staff from top management to younger newer members of staff were attentive, professional and friendly making us feel valued and welcomed. This is testimony to their staff training and team building. When considering just how busy they were you can see why it is so popular. A little mix up with our coffee order at breakfast is quickly forgotten about when the staff resolved it quickly and ensured we were looked after. Overall and great place to stay with a pleasant walk available along the adjacent canal, but it was the staff who really made it special and we would be happy to stay there again."

"Thank you for a wonderful stay , the lodge was absolutely beautiful also very clean . Linda the host made us feel very safe and welcomed us in a very warm and friendly atmosphere. It’s lovely and peaceful and the Scenery is beautiful wild rabbits /hares running around the field was a beautiful sight. We are hoping to return in march for another stay. Thank you "

Riverside Hotel Branston by Chef and Brewer Collection

"Having stayed at the Riverside many times pre-Covid, we were delighted to see the changes that had been made over the last 5 years. The new decor is a vast improvement and very tasteful, in our opinion. The room we had, albeit relatively small was fine and it was nice to have the air-conditioning, as it was a very warm night. The menu was adequate with a reasonable choice; unfortunately we had to leave before trying breakfast. All the staff were lovely, especially the lady who had just started that day (Colette?). We will definitely be going back next month, when we return to Burton. It is a testament to this new regime that the bar, terrace and restaurant were busy with all manner of people, including paddle boarders. Again a vast improvement of 5 years ago. Well done, Adam and his team. PS thanks for the chocolates on the bed."

"Good, comfortable room. Excellent freshly made breakfast Lovely, friendly and helpful staff The restaurant side of the business has closed, but there are a couple of pubs in walking distance."
