"This is a great resort. Right off the beach, our breakfast and dinner were spent under the shade of the trees looking into the Pacific ocean and sunset. Absolutely stunning views.
The entire resort was well kept with very friendly staff. We're really happy that we stayed here."

It’s a beautiful place to visit. The view is amazing, the food is actually great. My only displeasure was they didn’t have tv BUT that just means you’ll have more reason to connect with family, wife/husband or what ever friends you came with.

If you want to really get away from it all and just kick back, this is the place. After driving down dirty, rocky roads, through crazy Tamarindo, you arrive at Cala Luna - paradise. No Spring Break scene here at all - it is serene and civilized. The rooms are private with lush tropical plants surrounding you. The pool and deck area are wonderful with soothing music playing in the background. The nightly sunset happy hour on the beach was delightful. Not the best swimming beach but lovely and...

My husband and I were married at the Four Seasons at Disney in Orlando April 2015 so we had high expectations for the Four Seasons Costa Rica and we were not disappointed!! I mentioned on our reservation through Expedia that this was our first wedding anniversary trip and we received champagne and chocolate covered roses in our room upon arrival, champagne at lunch when our waiter just so happened to ask if we were there for a special occasion and champagne at dinner later that night as it was...

We chose the W for our Honeymoon and from the moment we arrived at the W, the staff was so warm, welcoming, and helpful. The particular staff members who went above and beyond for us were Glenda, Fabian, Andres, and Gerardo.
We ate mostly at the Cocina Mercado on-site and the food was excellent. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet with traditional Costa Rican breakfast alongside homemade pastries with different specials every day. For a special night out, we ate at Latitude and enjoyed...

From Liberia Airport via a transfer arranged by the resort, I arrived at Pacific Kalokairi in dire need of relaxation. I was greeted warmly and shown to my gorgeous suite where I watched an incredible sunset over the ocean…the first of many. Thanks to my gracious hosts I was able to book a 2 hour massage and then spent many peaceful hours at the pool. I enjoyed delicious meals dining by the pool and/or having them delivered to my room. When I was rested and ready to go town a short drive...

The best hotel I have ever stayed at. The animal life AT the hotel itself is fantastic. I have never seen so many hummingbirds and butterflies. Troops of monkeys, both Howlers and Capuchins come through the property daily; right to the edge of the two pools, and for viewing from the private decks of each jungle facing room. If you ever wanted to watch monkeys, iguanas, and coati mundi's play in the trees from your pool or room while sipping a margarita, you have found the place. Just casually...

Absolutely loved the place! My little girl was greeted by all the staff daily and they made us feel so welcomed! The locals were so friendly. Tight community. Our room was cleaned everday, the front desk staff arranged taxi rides for us. Keep in mind everything in the surrounding area is a bit of a walk so a car or taxi is ideal but taxi rides are costly. We booked the deluxe room which offered a tv and a/c, its not in the description though, I just happen to call ahead and ask what the...

We loved Margaritaville Costa Rica! It is right on the Playa de Flamingo which is a wonderful beach. The staff, the food, the drinks, the location & the sunsets where fabulous.
We would only ask that who ever is in charge of the "pool music," please include some Jimmy Buffett songs. We where there for over two weeks and did not hear one Jimmy Buffett song over the stereo. (Fortunately, we brought our own music and small boom box.)
We would definitely go back... hopefully soon.

Keylor was one of our waiters that worked at the hotel and he gave us great recommendations for food to try from the restaurants, and everyone thing he recommended was amazing. Elena at the front desk also helped us out a lot and made sure that we had everything we needed for our rooms.

Hotel was awesome, staff is great. If I had a complaint I’d have to say the cost of the food. 1st night of arrival got a hamburger, a salad, and the wife and I each got one drink. The bill was $75. From that point on we went and ate at Tamarindo. Our 1st day in Tamarindo breakfast, lunch, and dinner was $80 total!

When we arrived, the manager was called to tell us that unfortunately the hotel had been overbooked and our room had been given away. Needless to say, we were NOT HAPPY - especially because we had booked many months previous. Maik, the manager apologized profusely and told us that he had secured an oceanfront condo just a few hundred meters away for us.
We were still dubious and quite upset, but allowed him to show us the condo. It was truly oceanfront and absolutely first-class. Maik assured...

El Mangroove is a modern, beautiful property located on a very calm bay with great sunset views. The area is very peaceful - a perfect place to relax and unwind. The staff could not be nicer or more attentive. They went out of their way to entertain our kids, make sure we were comfortable and taken care of, etc. Food was delicious. I wish we could have stayed longer. It's only about 20 minutes to Liberia airport.
