"Very handy hotel within easy (3min) walking distance of Pisa airport. Rooms are basic but very clean and great for an overnight stay if you have an early flight to catch. We arrived the day before our flight so we're able to leave our bags and spend the day in Pisa (10 mins. from the hotel using the Pisa Mover train at the airport (buy a return ticket - it's slightly cheaper). "

"It was a cute place. They apparently have breakfast but couldn't find it in the morning. It may be at the residence next door. When you arrive, there is a bell by the outside gate to push and the owner will come over. I booked a room with 2 beds as it was me and my teenage daughter. the owner said we could only sleep on the one unless we paid an additional $10 EU."

"The property is in walking distance to the airport. We received clear messages from the owner how to access the building and the the room itself. It is very basic but clean, enough for a few days for a stopover. For being close to the airport it is noisy but we were tired so didn’t wake up at night. "

"The location is perfect - a few steps away from tower and cathedral. The staff was very responsive via what’s app until we paid local tax and after that she stopped answering. The B&B is located 4 flights of stairs in the building, once we got there, to get to my room I had to climb a narrow spiral staircase with no hot water in the bathroom. My luggage did not fit through the staircase so I had to leave it at the main floor of the B&B. I called and messaged the owner and my questions never got...

"Simple but just enough for one night. The lady who gridded us was very nice. Room door very difficult to open with key. Bathroom not in room but still private. You have to come out of your room into a common small area and then go into the bathroom. It was kinda different, but I did not see anyone else there to share bathroom. Very convenient to walk to station , 3 blocks and a 15 min walk to the leaning tower where there were many restaurants . Very safe walk . Many small stores to buy water,...

"This is a lovely, clean place to stay just a few minutes walk from Pisa airport. There was tea and coffee and snacks for us to help ourselves and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable."

"Luisa is a wonderful host, allowed us to leave our cases before check in which was very much appreciated. 2 complementary drinks in fridge tea/coffee on communal hallway along with a water filter. Room spotless. Cleaners so nice very helpful rooms lovely complimentary toiletries. Quiet. Beds very comfortable great location only short walk to leaning tower of pisa. Would recommend and if we travel to pisa again we would stay. Thank you so much Luisa "

"Overall very clean newly refurbished rooms, unfortunately there is only one bathroom / shower area to be shared by all guests. Potentially you could have eight to ten people accessing the bathroom facilities. There appears to be four different rooms on the floor. If you are staying here you have to phone ahead to arrange the handover of the keys as there isn’t anyone on-site "

"Villa Alta provides beautiful history and art-intense setting, wonderful atmosphere and comfortable conditions for memorable romantic, family or individual stay and events. It is located very close to the cities of Lucca and Pisa, surrounded by the very well-designed and kept Mediterranean garden with the clean and beautiful pool aria. Our family enjoyed peace and quiet at the time of our stay. Food was great, too. We highly recommend this place. "

"Not so good. Shower curtain has mildew on it and the bathroom was shared. We arrived from the airport very late and gave the taxi driver the address. When he stopped outside we thought there might be a mistake as there was no sign and it didn’t look like a hotel. I checked the email which was all in Italian. It was 1am in the morning. However I saw someone else trying to enter the code for the front door and went in with them. I showed them my email and they helped us find and get into our room....

"Checking in was extremely frustrating! There was no mention of checking in at a different location, only hours for a front desk. When we were finally able to find the check in it was still quite the process to get to the room. There is a kitchen but no microwave, just FYI. The towels for the shower look and feel like large paper napkins."
