"Clean, comfy and just what you need when away on business"

"We had a lovely 3 night stay with friendly helpful staff. Hot breakfast was cooked individually to order and would swap things around to suit you. I had read about slow service but if you aren't in a rush the pace is relaxed. Nice old building but good modern bathroom. The only downside was wanting to sit outside as there was not a handle to get back in and some people kept shutting the door tight."

"The hotel is located inside the pub. I was one of the attic rooms and didn’t hear any noise from the pub. The Sunday roast is well worth it. I had the roast beef and it was delicious. My room was a twin bedroom. It was fine but there was no floor length mirror. The mirror on the dressing table you could manoeuvre but you couldn’t see your full outfit. The mattresses need to be changed. Although I slept really well, the mattress was very lumpy with a firm impression on one side. The bathroom does...

"Exterior looks very run down. However, inside it was much better. The lobby area at the entrance to the rooms was clearly seen better days but was clean. The rooms themselves, whilst again very dated were spotlessly clean and reasonably well appointed. I had a good night's sleep. The room staff clearly do a very good job."

"Great location, finding parking wasn’t bad although it did cost us £25 to park for one night. The room didn’t have an expresso machine as advertised and we only had one coffee each on arrival and that was it. Would have been nice to have more coffee and milk. Minor details but makes the difference. Overall though, was satisfied with the stay and location. "
