"The pool was very nice overlooking the hills of Tuscany. The hotel has a nice ambience, rustic but very clean an updated. I like there were big windows that could open to a garden from the room. Getting around was a bit difficult even with a car. Very steep hills and is not so walkable. Very windy roads so it takes longer than expected to get to places. There are 2 nice villages very close by with different kind of restaurants. Barberino has stunning views. There is a walkable trail very close by a little creek but need to ask for directions, it's very secluded . The restaurant has really good food and service. Breakfast , very good, american style and italian.Perfect place for a honeymoon"

"Our trip to Firenze was made memorable by our stay at Villa Gelsomino Garden. Our room was clean and spacious. Marzio was a wonderful host who made sure all our needs were met. He gave us great recommendations re: Florence including where to have the best lampredotto (Nerbone in Mercato Centrale) and his rec was spot-on. Although the hotel was not near the city center, it is a convenient bus ride to the city center with the bus stop right across the street. We felt we were in a home away from home. We would definitely book again with Villa Gelsomino Garden if we come back to Florence. "

"Mormoraia gave a feeling of understated luxury and we absolutely loved the experience. The bathroom stank quite a bit but we stayed only for 2 nights and were able to ignore the issue. I also wish the front desk staff were a bit more friendly - everyone at the restaurant (which we visited 4 times) was wonderful. "
