Anchorage Inn and Resort

Anchorage Inn and Resort

10/10 Excellent
"Our hotel room was clean and we enjoyed our stay. However bathrooms are very small and not much clearance between the tv armoire and the bed. With that said the pool/ hot tub area was very nice Do need to fix the overhangs outside the hotel rooms. Looks like they are falling apart. Love the free coffee at the office. Let in the morning"

"I have stayed here for many years and I always find the same standard of excellence. Beds amazing, plenty of pillows, high quality of sheets and towels. Wish toilets were not so low, but otherwise totally pleased with stay. Nicely decorated inside and out, cookies and beverages offered. Many restaurants and shops in vicinity. Beach close by, lots to do and other interesting villages nearby. My favorite fall stop for a relaxing weekend!"

Cliff House Maine

Cliff House Maine

8/10 Good
"Cliff House Maine – Spectacular Views, Beautiful Accommodations, and a Few Areas for Improvement Overall, our stay at Cliff House was excellent. The property is absolutely beautiful, and the ocean views are spectacular. The rooms are spacious, beautifully appointed, and extremely comfortable. The bedding was especially luxurious, and the sheets felt fabulous, although they unfortunately wouldn’t stay on the bed! The dining experience was somewhat disappointing compared to the rest of the property. The food was beautifully presented, but the flavors and overall quality were average. Given the Michelin recognition and expectations, we anticipated a more memorable culinary experience. The spa itself was amazing. Beautifully designed, luxurious, and exceptionally well appointed, it was one of the highlights of the property. The spa services were definitely above average and very enjoyable, although not quite exceptional. The staff throughout the property were lovely. Housekeeping and valet deserve special recognition for their outstanding service, friendliness, and attention to detail. The restaurant waitstaff were good and attentive, while the front desk service was adequate but didn’t quite match the warmth and polish we experienced elsewhere. Despite a few areas for improvement, Cliff House is a wonderful destination. The spectacular setting, beautiful accommodations, and exceptional spa facilities make it a memorable coastal Maine getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay"
