Shopping right across the street with a great Lazy Acres, laundromat, Serranos ... a terrific and inexpensive Mexican restaurant (huge portions). Price is right for Encinitas."

"The room was very nice as was the staff. I loved the roof top seating areas. We brought our wine to watch the sunset. Lovely. They have a record player in the room and you can use albums from the lobby. Bring your own if you have them. 😀 They offer a nice healthy breakfast that you can take with you to the room or up to the roof. Great spot to walk to local restaurants. We had a drink at the Shanty right next to the lodge. Drinks were good and a fun place to hang out for a bit. "

It rained while we were there and we had to put pans and towels everywhere to to catch the leaks. The deck was very poorly built. the windows and doors leaked. The heat did not work..."
