"Our one-night stay here was exactly the reset we needed! From check-in, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the fruity kombucha welcome drink set a great tone. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the outdoor yard access made us feel genuinely connected to nature. It was a much-needed break from digital screens and work stress ^-^ The in-room bath salt and fresh herbs turned a simple bath into a real highlight, and the licorice mint tea was so good I bought a box of the leaves from the gift shop before leaving. Breakfast came in a charming picnic basket, generous and fresh. Checkout was just as kind as check-in. This place really nails the "zen by the beach" feeling. We're already planning our next visit!"

The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and had a fun, modern beach vibe that fit Encinitas perfectly. The location couldn’t be better—just minutes from the beach, great restaurants, and everything the area has to offer. What truly made this place stand out, though, was the staff. Every single person I interacted with was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care that I had a great experience. They went above and beyond to make me feel at home, offered great local recommendations, and were always happy to help with anything I needed. That level of hospitality is hard to find these days. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay with exceptional customer service, Moonlight Motel is an easy five-star choice. I’ll definitely be staying here again the next time I’m in Encinitas!"
