Umami Hotel - Adults Only

"The staff were very nice. Normal check-in, towel service and check-out. Breakfast was good but could have been better if we were also offered juice. We were able to leave our luggage in the office and hang out by the pool after check-out till our shuttle arrived and had a great drink from the bar. Everything was good/normal about this place. The one bad thing was that the room smelled like sewer. There was an air freshener in the room that went off every 30 minutes or so but I'm pretty sure it was empty. We only stayed one night. The room was quite small and the shower was in the open - weird setup for room to sleep 3 people? The pool looked nice. I didn't appreciate how on our railings there was a sign not to hang clothes, but people who stayed in the room with the day bed facing the pool had their clothes out and ruined the vibe."

"Great villa with a few caveats. First the space and location are great and the staff very helpful and attentive. The not so nice is that little jobo fruits fall on the roof all day and all night, it’s loud and tedious. The path to the beach is so so and the property could use some maintenance. The gate gave us trouble and the dishwasher. Overall great for families, just know you’ll be listening to thunk sounds at night very loud"

"Great place to stay!! Loved everything about it. It's in the jungle, so there's animals around. Monkeys, frogs, sloths, and others. Breakfast is delicious 😋 staff is friendly. Rooms are spacious. The beach is right across the street with plenty of food options around. Would absolutely recommend!"

"This was such a lovely stay. The rooms are a really generous size, with amazing views of the river and surrounded by incredible wildlife. You really are in the middle of it. It's also helpful that the airstrip is just on the other side of the river, making it super easy to get there and back (but with so few flights, it's not a disturbance). We had some incredible activities with the reception staff incredibly helpful and the guides super knowledgable and it's clear they love what they do. Manuel in particular was incredible. And even though it rained almost consistently (nothing anyone can do about that), as soon as we came back from activities, the staff were waiting with towels and drinks for us. They also had an abundance of wellies and ponchos, which were super helpful. The only thing that was a little more challenging were the restaurant opening times. As there's literally one restaurant, if you didn't eat before an evening activity or wanted a drink later in the evening (past 8:30pm), you didn't have any options and there was no one to serve you. Minor inconvenience for such a stunning location. And the wi-fi was brilliant, too. And the food was very good."
