It really is beautiful, with fantastic large windows with wooden shutters in an old Venetian building, that has a modern and well equipped kitchen and bathroom. The ceilings are high with quality lighting with lots of space and storage. Local shops and great restaurants are within 2 minutes walk and other attractions like the Rialto Bridge and St. Marco square under 10 minutes walk away. The narrow streets and alleyways feel safe...

"Our first trip to Venice, what an intriguing city! Upon arrival we were beyond pleased! The apartment has been modernized and tastefully decorated with modern decor. We didn’t realize when booking what a great location this was in the Castello neighborhood. We had no complaints whatsoever other than the apartment required going up 4 mid-size flights of stairs and the apartment was infested with mosquitoes. One of our friends got over 30 bites one night and all had trouble sleeping to the buzz...

"Elegant historic property on a canal. Very clean & quiet! We had a problem with the heat that the owner tried to address promptly...turns out the system was unplugged. Be sure to bring your own coffee/cappuccino if you like that morning cup of coffee without going out. Overall lovely stay!"

"The apartment is spacious and in a very quiet location. We could walk or take a boat to all of the sights. There is a grocery store nearby. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds were comfortable. We would definitely recommend the apartment. "

"The bed linens had not been changed. (Sand and dirt along with hair was collected in the crease between mattresses and across the sheets.) Table tops had sticky stuff and a coating of dust. Screens were missing from windows in living room admitting mosquitos, which created a health issue for one of our family members who then required medical attention. The air was humid in the apartment and smelled musty. Inacurate info was provided as to location. Host indicated he was aware of misinformation...
