"Would I say everything was perfect? No. The check-in experience, room assignment confusion, luggage mix-up, and difficulty getting the appropriate ground-floor room were frustrating and took away from what should have been a smooth start to our vacation. At the same time, I don't want those issues to overshadow the good parts of our trip. Once everything was sorted out, we had a really enjoyable vacation. The resort was beautiful, the beach and pools were great, the lazy river was a lot of fun, the entertainment was enjoyable, and most importantly, the staff we interacted with throughout the rest of our stay were warm and welcoming. I think the biggest lesson for us was simply knowing what to expect. Since we booked through Expedia and this was our first Sandals experience, we went in expecting everything to be straightforward. Now we know that there are things we would ask about and confirm ahead of time, especially regarding room location, accessibility, room assignments, and check-in. Despite the rough beginning, we made the most of our vacation and created some wonderful memories in St. Lucia. I would encourage anyone considering Sandals Halcyon Beach to do their research, understand exactly what room category and location they are booking, and communicate any special needs well in advance. And if you encounter an issue when you arrive, be persistent but respectful until it gets resolved. For us, the first two days were frustrating, but the rest of the trip was relaxing,"
