"Everything was so smooth, from the check in to check out. We really enjoyed the beautiful water views and the hot tub! I wish the indoor pool was open a little later, but the kids were able to get in an hour of swimming before it closed. The cabin was well stocked with all essentials and was clean and cozy! "My wife and I, along with another couple, loved our stay at Poe's Mountain. The place was very clean, check-in/check out were super easy, and Brian was very responsive. He also provided us with some great info on places to eat (Shawn's BBQ in Culpepper was delicious). We enjoyed sitting on the deck both morning and evening listening and watching the birds. We were even awakened one morning by a male wild turkey gobbling away outside our bedroom window with his female entourage following him. So...

There was more random trash on the property and needed landscaping than I was expecting. It took away from the overall experience, but was still a nice stay."

The house is fantastic—new, very clean, and well-equipped with toiletries, snacks, coffee, and creamers, plenty of towels, blankets, and games. The WiFi connection was reliable, contributing to an enjoyable stay. We had a great time overall despite very cold and windy weather. The communication with the owner was excellent, especially when we had questions about entering and locking the house on our way out."

"The location is great. Close enough to many eateries, grocery stores, etc. The house itself was big enough for my family but we were disappointed with the two (2) air mattresses. One deflated and the other just wouldn't stay inflated. For those of you that know about sleeping on an air mattress you can identify."
