  • Experience spectacular views of the Southern Rocky Mountains from our crows nest and rooftop deck with barbeque grill. Hike along the beautiful Canoñes Creek or under towering ponderosa pines. Kick back inside our high mountain retreat as you enjoy the occasional sighting of deer, elk, turkey, osprey, and other wildlife. All is within striking distance of Chama and it's famous narrow-gauge train (10 min), hiking in the south San Juan mountains (20 min), and Wolf Creek Ski area (1.5 h).

We had beautiful views from the picture window in living room and the crows nest. The house is well accommodated, beds very comfy, great wildlife sightings, and great hosts. We would stay there again. We found the house to be very clean. Great heating and good insulation.

Our stay in this well appointed home was amazing. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prepare and serve our meals. The beds were very comfortable. A prechopped woodpile along with kindling was provided. Each evening and morning we were able to watch wildlife and weather through the large picture window across from an amazing fire in a very large fireplace. We walked along the Canones Creek and through the trees of this beautiful property. We will be very happy to return to this wonderful home.
