"This was my second stay at the Elkhorn. The rooms are good sized, really clean and the beds are super comfortable. Will look forward to staying here again next year. "

Very quaint small town! Don't be in a hurry for breakfast. Thanks to the debacle of the last three years, everyone is hurting for workers and staff. Enjoy the small town ambience!

They need a couple restaurants that stay open in the evening. Very limited dining after riding the train.
Downtown Main St. Views of the Cumbres pass. Walk to the train, shops & dining.

"We enjoyed the house. It worked well for the 5 adults and 2 kids. We played cards on the big table each night. It was close to the train station. Access and Wi-Fi worked fine. "
"The house was great for our extended family. We had parents, 3 grown daugters, and 2 grandkids. The kitchen/dining/great room were all just right for our group to hang out before and after our ride on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR. The house is very convenient to the train station, has good parking in front. It was super clean and well furnished. The Outlaw BBQ down the street was great."
"Fantastic! No hassle occupancy, downtown location, directly across from Chama railyards for that authentic whistle-stop experience! We walked the friendly village, ate the absolute best tacos in New Mexico at "My Mom and Dad's Restaurant" then slept in the dreamy silence of starry night skies. The Caboose was everything and MORE! What a COOL experience to stay in a beautiful train car! Everything was First Class for comfort and convenience! But beware: the neighborhood Chihuahua is a total Alley Bully! Wonderful experience! Kudos to our hosts for a great stay!! "
