Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. We are a family of 4 with 2 boys ages 12 and 10. The lodge and screen walled cabins provide a nice setting with wonderful creatures and sounds all around. The tours were very good. We did a kayak tour from the gulf beach into a mangrove canal and saw sea turtles, birds, monkeys, and a sloth. The tractor tour into Corcodavo was nice where the highlight for us was toucans. The guide Luiz is very knowledgeable about birds and plants. The drinks and meals were...

Good aircondition and comforteble beds. Near to the sea.

Amazing setting beautiful sunsets great food/ great staff !!! Access to an Amazing beach can’t say enough about this place fantastic!!!!!

A cute super well ran hotel away from town, the staff was the best we've ever had at a location. This is a family run place that makes you feel like family while you are there. The food is great! We stayed 8 days and never repeat a breakfast. The staff set up 7 different excursions with us and coordinated our pick up and drop offs. We snorkeled, went to the national park, went fishing, rode horses on a beach and even floated a jungle river. The whole vacation experience was wild. We got to see...

It was a beautiful place to stay right on the beach with the sound of the waves crashing and the birds chirping. Very close to restaurants and all of the tours and the host was awesome and very accommodating! Highly recommend!

My family and I had an AMAZING time staying at Pirate Cove. Our kids are 15, 10 & 6 and they had the time of their life visiting Costa Rica! We did the tour to Sirena ranger station and the Rio claro river float and waterfalls tour. They were both unique and memorable for years to come. I wish we could have had time to do the snorkeling at Cano island( we heard that was fantastic also)-next time for sure! Our cabin overlooked the beautiful ocean and the river that you can kayak for free on using...

Solid choice for stays in Drake. AC in rooms. Fairly simple clean rooms. Saw Capuchin monkeys and other animals in the early morning and evening from the terrace overlooking the forest. Up the hill from the bay near restaurants.

My family and I spent 3 nights at Hotel Jacamar. The room was very nice, spacious clean and comfortable. What made the stay fabulous was the young man who worked at the hotel. Leo took care of us and went above and beyond to make us comfortable and feel special. He procured mango and avocado for breakfast when we mentioned that we liked it, asked around at neighboring restaurants if they could make a pizza for my sister, took us to the beach at 6 am to meet our guides for the Corcovado trip and...

I had a great stay here. Norlyn gave me directions on how to arrive to Drake's Bay and picked me up from beach. He showed me around the town as well. The hotel was within waking distance of restaurants, hiking trail and beach. It's quiet and has good internet. Breakfast was good. It was clean. The people there were very friendly and helpful. He also helped me to book tours for the week.

You are in a remote lodge where you hike in for 45 min to 3 hours depending on how many animals( monkeys, anteaters, scarlet macaws) you stop to watch. A horse cart brings in your luggage. There is no air conditioning, hot water or wifi but the food is fantastic and the smoothies delicious. There several activities available including a tour of Corcavado NP, night hikes and turtle hikes in season. If you can't stand the heat and humidity don't go. If you like being in a special place and seeing...

My whole family loved our stay at Hotel Margarita in August 2024. The area of Drake Bay was pretty, but it is very rustic (dirt roads, limited dining, restaurants are open-air with no A/C, etc). However, Hotel Margarita definitely exceeded our expectations. We stayed in Room #1 (Luxury Double Room with 1 King, 1 Queen, & 1 Twin bed). The room was updated and the A/C worked great. We were pleasantly surprised to see lots of small toucans right outside our room on multiple occasions during...

My husband and I had an amazing experience at Luna Lodge. From the very welcome at the Puerto Jimenez airport, the ride to Carate, the owner's welcome upon arrival and throughout our entire stay. We stayed in a tent, all the way up the steps. Couldn't have asked for a better view. We definitely had the best lodgings at Luna Lodge. Yes, up the steps, but so worth it to sit on the deck and see and hear the wildlife. We hiked, day and night, practiced yoga, had massages, kayaked, panned for...

Yens and Patrick, the proprietors of Drake Bay Getaway have created a beautiful oasis that is near paradise. From their warm and generosity upon arrival to the commitment to our comfort and happiness, they were ceaselessly attentive to all our needs. The walk to and from the cabin (Bromeliad) surrounded us with spectacular beauty with lush green and the rich blue ocean surrounding us. The cabins are simple and perfect, with breathtaking views of the ocean from our terrace. A massage arranged by...

This place is fantastic. Wonderful location and amenities. The food here is 5-star and the service is even better. I loved the grounds of the hotel. Just be aware there are a lot of steps to get to your room. A lot. Even still I will be back.

The property is located away from town but close enough to walk. There is a fabulous restaurant on site. Very easy access to the beach. Rolando was very informative and helped us get set up for our tour the following morning. The staff were waiting for us when we arrived by boat shuttle and helped with our luggage. Nice place; nice views; staff helpful. I'd go back

My wife and I stayed at the Kunken Lodge along our travels around the beautiful country of Costa Rica. The property grounds are picturesque and perfectly manicured, the food was delicious, and Elian and Pierre were amazing hosts that went above and beyond to make sure everything about our stay was perfect. There is a hiking trail on site with some great viewpoints of the bay and unique wildlife. There is also a very nice pool, a private beach, a frog garden, and the property is extremely...
