It might be because due to moulds between the bathtubs and the bathroom walls of every room, and the hotel staffs were trying to get rid of them using bleach. Simply turn on ventilation and the strange smell could be gone in hours. Be prepared for a walking distance of around 10min to get you to the nearest corner shop or groceries."
