"This is an older 2 story property with great big refinished rooms with lake views. Daily attention to room turndown excellent! Front desk staff very nice. Location is wonderful with the highway close, biking path and water close, food a short walk, and museums a short drive. Parking is free. Downside is part of the property is defunct with an empty pool, unused cafe and unused conference bldg. no elevator, no ice machine and poor shower pressure. A great price and memorable stay for us and would gladly come again!!"

"It was very cute and cozy. We stayed at several places on the way to Chicago on Route 66 and when we got to Chicago, we’re looking for a place to head back and we found this place and it was the cutest little Homie place made you feel so homey and. Just a little touches they added we’re just so comforting."

"Asked for a Zelle “refundable” deposit and denied refund citing violation of house rules however there are documented images from their security footage that we did not violate those rules they claimed we did. They told me I checked in with three other guests and sent security footages, those were my friends helping me move the luggage not guests checking in. The total number of guests never violated any rules. They don’t have heater/AC in the room, asked us to open the window or use the room heater if we feel hot or cold. The room heater doesn’t work. The bathroom didn’t have hot water. "

"the tub was nasty and filthy a ring a black ring around the tub and towel. the room wasn't touched at all. the bathroom didn't had property lighting in it at all. the rug was filthy and nasty. the air conditioner was molded inside dusty and dirty. black mold around the room and big cockroach bugs in the room. I want a full refund of my stay I would never visit a filthy motel this filthy motel ever again."

"Absolutely horrified with the experience I had with this host. First and foremost I want to start this off by saying, I had a good time, and the place is very spacious and is almost mostly like how it seems on the listing. However, there were many faults to this house as I mentioned to the host. The upstairs closet door was not properly placed or put on, and when I went to try to open it to place my belongings, it quite literally collapsed on top of me. Brought it up to the host and they tried to make it seem like it was an accident and that I broke it. Insane. I booked it for 9 guests, and all 9 of my guests had issues with ants / and spiders and one of my guests saw a white stain on her sheets as she was headed to bed. So the cleanliness, not all there. One of my guests put a hole in the wall with their carrier as we were leaving and we took full accountability for that and the host instead of communicating just had an email sent over to us with a bill for the repairs needed for the wall and other things that were not our fault. So dissapointed that they took advantage of that unfortunate situation to try and blame us for other things. When I brought it up they used incredibly unprofessional wording such as “stop the press” “move around” told me to come over and fix it. Absolutely insane. Oh also! Let’s not forget them boasting saying they gave us a great place for my “little money” HA! If you want a ghetto fabulous host this is definitely the place for you! "

"Wonderful stay! Host was extremely responsive, when the internet went down she got it fixed in record time despite being at work!!! Best bed I have ever slept on in a rental. Loved Loved Loved it. Close to everything we needed."
