We were extremely fortunate to be able to stay in the Phillips Guest Room, which was the favorite room of Jack Nairn, the founder and original proprietor of this historic inn. All the five star reviews of the Casa del Gavilan are well-deserved. This is a very special place with an incredibly beautiful natural setting, remarkable history, magnificent historical architecture, comfortable rooms, and gracious hospitality. A stay at the Casa del Gavilan is good for the soul! My wife and I are already thinking about a return trip, maybe in the spring?"

"The location of this house is amazing. Lots of wildlife from elk and deer to numerous species of birds. Lots of room to move around in the house and the back deck is great for coffee in the morning and just relaxing. We really enjoyed everything about it. "
